Our feature recommendations are located on the Pacific side of Mexico.
Banderas Bay is one of the largest natural bays in the world. There has
never been a hurricane to hit Puerto Vallarta since the Weather Service began
recording and tracking hurricanes. The Riviera Nayarit begins just north
of Puerto Vallarta's International Airport and continues north for one hundred
miles. The Mexican government has set aside $30,000,000 USD equivalent in
funds for the development of this new Riviera and is pledged to make it one of
the most sought after areas of Mexico. It will not be overdeveloped like
Cancun, Playa del Carmen or the many other pioneer resort areas. They have
learned that overdevelopment isn't good for the environment and therefore not
good for tourist and retiree's who are now looking for eco-vacations and
eco-attractions. There is a limit of developed area to green space to
prevent overdevelopment.
For people looking for water associated sports this area offers great
snorkeling, scuba diving, whale watching, surfing and swimming. The area
around La Cruz de Huanacaxtle offers great beach walking and swimming in it's
protected waters. There are many breakwaters where even the littlest
swimmers can have a safe and fun time.


La Joya Huanacaxtle
Modeled on the highly successful La Joya Condominiums, which sold out
in record time, Grupo Real del Mar reiterates the concept with La Joya
de Huanacaxtle. Fewer than 100 units will be built on four floors on a
10,000 sq meters lot (2.5 acres) just three blocks from the beach, a few
blocks from the new marina Riviera Nayarit, and a short jaunt to
Destiladeras or Punta de Mita. The majority of units at La Joya de
Huanacaxtle will have two bedrooms, with a handful of three-bedroom
penthouse units — all with spacious floor plans and ample terraces. All
floors will have views.
The overall design of La Joya de Huanacaxtle will be modern on the
exterior, with treatments that fit the ambience of the pueblo, while
interiors will have finishes that celebrate Mexican colors and textures.
Lots of landscaped green space, a huge infinity pool and gym facilities
will be offered, as well as underground parking — a rare convenience.


Alamar
Perched on the hillside in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, Alamar grows out
of the dreams of architects and planners who envision a life where all
needs are met while living within an environment that values nature in
all its original shapes and colors. This is a luxury gated community
covering 35 hectares (100 acres) out of which only 20% will be built.
Alamar offers not only expansive, fly-high views of the bay but a
private enclave within a manicured jungle. Walking trails meander
through the grounds that will also be speckled with lagoons for
reflecting the natural beauty around you. Extensive amenities include
the finest beach club on the bay, multiple common-area pools, a health
club and a village-style commercial area.
The community will be built with environmentally responsible
infrastructure, and individual condominiums will employ the latest in
technological conveniences.


Punta Esmeralda
Punta Esmeralda is a luxury community of low-profile terraced
construction on approximately 20 acres of oceanfront property
strategically located between Puerto Vallarta and Punta de Mita.
Composed of three living concept townhouses, villas and luxury
condominiums it will include 230 units, eight Venetian-tiled
pools, a beach club, tennis courts, spa and gym.
Contemporary Mexican Pacific architecture with meticulous
landscaping gives Punta Esmeralda an ambience all its own. Among
the offerings is a collection of 12 villas, averaging 5,500 to
6,300 sq. ft., in the style of sister property Real del Mar.
Among the condos and penthouses are a variety of floor plans
with from two to four bedrooms. Each low-rise condo has no more
than three units per floor, ranging from 1,200 to 4,700 sq. ft.
All residences feature air conditioning, parking, granite
countertops, marble floors and inlaid stone detailing. Many
